I worked with a tight-knit in-house team at Turtl to create an experimental, experiential event stand for the renowned annual B2B Marketing Ignite event in London in 2019. Turtl’s marketing campaign for the year was delightfully disruptive: “Kill the PDF”. We pulled out all the stops to maximise the message on a small floor space.

Earlier in the year I helped art direct a 60 second campaign video which was shown on loop at the event. I also designed and hand-coded a 1-page campaign website, with a CTA form linked directly to Hubspot for lead generation.

The event itself: We created 5 exhibits arranged tightly on the perimeter of our allocated floorspace which begged curiosity and drew conference attendees into our stand.

Exhibits included an eye chart, a distorted mirror, a woollen flowchart, vintage dialup headphones, and books with blank pages.

I designed and fabricated all exhibits, and spent a day with a junior designer constructing the stand and wiring the monolithic plinth the day before the event.

The project is one of my all-time favourites.
